You go on the holiday of a lifetime, you splash out on a water-proof camera for those special, never to be seen again memories. But when you browse through the images you seem to remember that the water was much clearer than that, crystal clear in fact. The colours were brighter, weren't they? The original of this is possibly close to reality, I really cannot be sure. However, the enhanced end result of this effort is much more effective at conjuring up the particular memory it was meant to capture.
